Bob Rice has worked as a taxi driver, hospital drug courier, spy, and lawyer. He received an M.A. from American University, Ph.D. from the University of Florida, and a J.D. from the University of Wyoming. He is the author of four novels and a memoir recalling six months he spent solo hiking in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, Walking into Silence. His work has appeared in the Michigan Quarterly Review, Manoa, Quiddity and numerous other journals. Rice lives in the mountains of Montana with his family and spends these days exploring poetry and walking in the woods.
